The LT8362IMSE#TRPBF is a high-end DC-DC switching regulator. It is part of a family of high-switching frequency, synchronous, pulse-width modulation (PWM) controllers for general purpose isolated DC-DC converter applications. Features include an integrated transformer controller, wide 8V to 100V input voltage range, up to 92% efficiency, accurate current-mode control with cycle-by-cycle peak current limit and adjustable soft-start/hiccup short circuit protection. The LT8362IMSE#TRPBF switching regulator also offers a latch-off low power standby mode, lossless pseudo-resistor current sensing, improved transformer winding utilization, cascadable output, multiple PWM switching frequency switching up to 1MHz.

The LT8362IMSE#TRPBF DC-DC switching regulator is designed for both isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converter applications. It is ideal for general purpose isolated DC-DC converter applications, such as flyback converters, boost converters, buck-boost converters and SEPIC converters. Working Principle

The LT8362IMSE#TRPBF DC-DC switching regulator is a high-switching frequency, synchronous, pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller. The design uses a synchronous pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller that reduces switching losses and maintains excellent efficiency over a wide range of input voltage from 8V to 100V. The LT8362IMSE#TRPBF employs a unique current-mode architecture that provides excellent dynamic response regardless of load type. It also features a latch-off low-power standby mode for improved efficiency and reduced power consumption during no-load conditions. An adjustable soft-start/hiccup short circuit protection also ensure reliable system operation.

This DC-DC switching regulator offers improved transformer winding utilization, which allows multiple outputs to be driven with a single input voltage, as well as a cascadable output that enables multiple stages of conversion. It can switch up to 1MHz, allowing the chip to maintain efficiency over the entire input voltage and load range while enabling a high level of system integration. A pseudo-resistor current sense circuit improves transient response and reduces system operating noise.
