The LTC1421 features a low quiescent supply current and is designed to support fast switchovers in hot-swap applications.The LTC1421CSW#PBF is designed to provide a fast, safe, and reliable hot-swap operation. It prevents current surge which can occur in order to protect the device and its load from possible overvoltage, overtemperature, and excessive current. The LTC1421CSW#PBF can detect voltage drop, temperature rise, sustained overcurrent and short-circuit. The hot-swap surge current is turned on when the voltage conditions are met to protect the system by limiting the current.The device\'s recommended system voltage range is 2.5 V to 5.5 V with a typical operating supply current of 2.1 mA.
