The LTC1706EMS-61#PBF is a monolithic, low power, highly integrated power management integrated circuit (PMIC) from Linear Technology Corporation. This device\'s primary function is to monitor and control power supply in various applications. This PMIC is designed for use with single cell Li-Ion (Li-Ion) and other battery chemistries in both battery-operated and AC-powered systems, for example, notebook computers, and battery powered consumer electronics. Furthermore, this PMIC supports a wide input voltage range from 4.75V to 24V and allows for smooth transition from AC power to battery power.
The LTC1706EMS-61#PBF device provides flexible power management control, allowing power supply designers to set up a complete power path architecture with independent control and sequencing of up to five input sources and five output rails, including two independent DC/DCs and three independent LDOs. The integrated linear controllers further reduce the system load current and minimize charge/discharge losses. It also provides a configurable system power state machine to manage various system power states, including Sleep, Shutdown, Standby, and Active modes. In addition, the device offers an open-drain battery-backup mode and supports a wide range of operating temperature ranges, making it suitable for many applications.
