The LTC3548IMSE#TRPBF is a switching regulator controller from Linear Technology’s family of DC-DC converters. It provides design flexibility, ease of implementation, and superior dynamic performance. It\'s a high performance, low-noise, buck-boost controller optimized for buck boosted flyback and isolated flyback topologies. These include converter architecture in which the output voltage varies from a buck (lower than the input voltage) to a boost (higher than the input voltage). It has multiple control and protection enhancements that ease design, reduce external components and provide robust operation over a wide temperature range and under varying input conditions.

The LTC3548IMSE#TRPBF is specifically designed to interface with digital controllers. Its Enhanced Digital Power System (EDPS) interface allows a variety of features such as write-only one-time programmable memory, programmable power limit and fault protection, adjustable switching frequency and cycle-by-cycle current limit. With the EDPS interface, a user-friendly graphical user interface can be implemented to allow the user to easily configure and monitor the converter via an external microcontroller.
