LTC4125IUFD#PBF is a highly integrated high-current synchronous step-down DC/DC converter from Linear Technology. It is engineered to provide power to demanding applications, such as battery-powered portable electronics and automotive applications. This integrated converter can drive up to 10 A of current and offers the highest efficiency enabled by the microSIP product platform. It offers the highest efficiency at different load conditions, thus optimizing system power management.
Product Details
This DC/DC converter device is offered in a compact 12 pin, 4mm x 4mm UDFN package, making it ideal for a wide range of applications requiring a very small solution size. It includes several features, such as an Auto-Skip mode, where when the load is low, the device automatically skips the switching cycles to reduce power dissipation. It also offers a configurable 2-stage power converter, integrating a 2A feedback path for an adjustable input voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V and a configurable output voltage range of 0.5V to 5.5V.
Working Principle
The working principle of the LTC4125IUFD#PBF is based on synchronous rectification. The device features an advanced power conversion structure with an integrated synchronous MOSFET, a DC-DC converter, and an integrated gate driver. The gate driver controls the gate voltage of the MOSFET, resulting in an optimized power transference. This allows the device to achieve higher efficiency due to the elimination of the input voltage regulation losses.
