Working Principle

The three channels are completely independent and each has three control terminals for (1) brightness; (2) current; and (3) power-on reset.

These three commands provide the user with the required control to adjust the brightness level, the current limit and the reset voltage. Each channel also includes a unity gain buffer and a slew rate limiter to provide additional protection against excessive current flow, ESD and damage to other components.

The three channels are supplied with power through an external voltage source. The digital data is then used to set the current and brightness levels and the current is then converted into a voltage that is used to control the LED brightness. At the same time, a voltage is also generated to provide the power-on reset.
