Working Principle

The LV5215LF-TE-L-E consists of an on-board rectification bridge, a synchronous buck-boost controller, a low-side power MOSFET, and a green LED current trimming circuit. The LE package includes two rectification MOSFETs for input voltage range up to 42V.

The rectification bridge rectifies the input voltage and is used to convert the AC voltage to DC voltage. The buck-boost synchronous controller is used to regulate the output voltage in response to the current condition of the LED to maintain the desired brightness. The buck-boost controller also has integrated protections against over-voltage, over-current and short-circuits.

The current trimming-circuit rectifies the voltage output from the buck-boost and is used to adjust the LED current. This green LED current trimming circuit has a very low output impedance, which allows for improved LED current accuracy and LED luminance stability.

Finally, the low-side power MOSFET is used to regulate and switch the output voltage and reduce the ripple to ensure that the LEDs flicker-free under any lighting condition. The LV5215LF-TE-L-E is designed to ensure that the LED current is accurately maintained, while reducing the power loss and heat generation in the system.
