The reference voltage is then compared with the output feedback voltage which is generated by the output voltage divider network.If any difference exists between the reference voltage and the feedback voltage, then the P-channel MOSFET will turn on to transfer more current through the load, bringing the output voltage closer to the reference voltage. On the other hand, if the output voltage is above the reference voltage, then the N-channel MOSFET will turn on, restricting current flow to the load, thus driving the output voltage back down to the reference voltage.
