The M24C02-FMC6TG memory has a typical byte access time of 3.5 ms. It is a non-volatile memory that requires no refresh cycles. The device can be programmed byte by byte and accessed randomly in random access read/write mode (R/W). Additionally, it is protected against code corruption caused by stray electrical fields, so it is resistant to noise. The device supports the I²C-bus protocol. The protocol includes an acknowledge function and indicates that the transmitted data has been received by the bus slave (the memory). The lower seven bits of the I²C-bus address define the device specific address, so up to eight devices can be connected to the bus. The M24C02-FMC6TG device stores up to 256 bytes of user-defined data in memory. Data can be programmed by supplying data and the corresponding address over the I²C-bus to the device. The device has the following additional features: EEPROM write protect (WP) and Page Write protection (PW).
