The M2S010-1VFG256I is an SoC (system on chip) fromSTMicroelectronics offering embedded design solutions for industrial, consumer, mobile and home automation applications which require very low power consumption. It combines several embedded components such as FPGA, ROM, SRAM, Flash and other functional blocks so as to form a single integrated circuit that builds in a wide diversity of features and solutions. This device offers a great deal of Application Programming Interface (API) features that makes programming and application development easier.

The M2S010-1VFG256I features the ARM Cortex-M0 core and provides a wide range of peripherals, including GPIO, UART, ADC, PWM, timers, clock generators and other interfaces. The functionality of the SoC is separated into a number of embedded blocks which are interconnected with each other by an AHB bus. It operates at maximum clock frequency of 36MHz and works with a single 3V supply voltage. It provides flexible power management with internal power-on control, programmable voltage supply, low-power sleep modes and dynamic clock gating.

The M2S010-1VFG256I is designed with an I/O range of 32 bits. It integrates an embedded secure boot for secured boot loading and firmware updates.
