M2S010TS-VFG400 Application Field
This combined CPU/Peripheral SoC offers a unique set of features and interfaces, making it highly suitable for various embedded applications including: Automotive, Industrial, Home Automation, Medical, Security, Communications and more. The M2S010TS-VFG400 offer multifaceted solutions by integrating a wide array of functions on a single integrated chip. It has 20 sets of 32-bit on-chip debug modules & UARTs, one JTAG port and a 4-channel CAN Controller with CAN FD protocol, which makes the SoC suitable for numerous embedded.In addition, this SoC supports high-performance computing, a wide temperature range and a long list of standard peripherals, such as Timers, UARTs, PWM controllers, CAN bus controllers and A/D Converters. With its interface compatibility, developers can also easily incorporate third-party hardware components. The device size is relatively small yet it is equipped with an SD/eMMC interface, 8-bit SLC/QSPI NOR flash and optional DRAM support with frequencies up to 200MHz, making it suitable for low power, low cost and high-performance embedded applications.
M2S010TS-VFG400 Working Principle
The M2S010TS-VFG400 enables power-saving designs with two core modes – sleep and active. In sleep mode, the system’s power consumption is reduced to 0.18mW, enabling energy-efficient installations. The device can readily switch from sleep to active mode whenever a peripheral event arrives, minimizing the total power consumption.The design is based on Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit MCU cores and supports single or dual-core designs. The frequency of the processors can reach up to 200MHz in dual-core mode or up to 150MHz in single-core mode. Other features include integrated 2KiB of SRAM for instruction and data storage and a configurable 16-bit Static Random Access Memory (SRAM).Developers will find many useful features in this SoC, such as flexible interrupt handling, where dedicated interrupt lines can be programmatically assigned to different peripherals. With M2S010TS-VFG400, developers can achieve power, performance and size optimisation with a single SoC. The device connects to the target hardware via universal interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG and CAN. Also, the device integrates multiple on-chip debug interfaces.In summary, the M2S010TS-VFG400 is suitable for a wide range of embedded applications needing high-performance computing and automation.
