Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) are widely used for their protective functions in power electronics applications. TVS Diodes, also known as unidirectional and bidirectional suppressors, are one of the most important components in the power electronics protection schemes.

The MA1.5KE56AE3 is a 150W, 12V transil diode designed to protect against high energy repetitive or transient over-voltages. It is a unidirectional device providing over-voltage protection in 1.5 kV using 12V breakdown VBR. The diode is compliant with the latest surge waveforms, including the IEC 61000-4-5 international standards, specifically designed for the protection of I/O, power supply and communication lines.
