The aluminum electrolytic capacitor has two aluminum metal layers that are separated by a paper spacer. The metal layers can have a polarizing voltage applied to them by utilizing either a strain relief screw connector or by the use of spring contacts. The polarizing voltage is applied between the anode and cathode aluminum metal layers between which the electrical field is generated and insulated by the paper spacer.
The MAL212836108E3 capacitor is designed to work in high-reliability application fields due to its shock and vibration resistant construction. It has a long-term stability of permissible operating temperature ranges of between -55 degrees Celsius and +85 degrees Celsius along with a rated life of up to 5000 hours, supplied axially, with triangular pinout orientation. The working principle of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is relatively simple.
