It is applicable in half-bridge snubbers in impulse converters, middle-frequency resonance circuits in AC furnaces, and high-power precision motor drive circuits. In addition, the MAL215055331E3 can also be used for buffering circuits in a wide range of audio products, such as speakers as well as audio equipment.

Working Principle of MAL215055331E3

The MAL215055331E3 consists of two aluminum foil electrodes, which are separated by an insulating media. The oxide film is used on the positive pole for the dielectric, and a conductive electrolyte on the negative pole is also used as the second electrode. The anode aluminum foil is more than 0.08mm in thickness, while the oxide film and the cathode are around 0.02mm.

When the MAL215055331E3 is in an energized state, a voltage is applied between the two electrodes. This creates an electric field through the oxide film between the anode and cathode, producing charges that are redistributed between the two electrodes.
