MAS3795EGL is a diode array designed for automotive and charger block applications. This diode array is suitable for power applications up to 25 A (Tc = 25°C). It can be used for automotive applications such as starter motor, alternator, and coil winding frames, as well as for 5 KW chargers and in other high-power rectification applications.The MAS3795EGL diode array is a single rectifying diode array that combines the advantages of extreme diodes with that of a very compact package solution. It has a peak pulsed current rating of up to 40 A and is capable of providing a continuous forward current rating up to 25 A. The device can be used in applications like DC-DC converters and power supplies.The MAS3795EGL is constructed with a three-terminal discrete diode on each side, connected in a reverse-parallel (TFPT) configuration, with a common anode for a total of six diodes per package. The presence of multiple diodes in this configuration gives it improved temperature and current handling capabilities over single diode devices.The device features an integrated current control circuitry that limits peak surge currents. At the same time, this prevents exceeding the specified maximum junction temperature. Whenever the transient current exceeds the rated maximum level, the control circuitry reduces the current through the diode array in order to protect the device from thermal runaway.The MAS3795EGL diode array has a low on-state voltage drop of approximately 1.8 V. This low drop helps to optimize battery back-up time and ensures efficient power conversion.
