Max1104eua+t Application Field and Working Principle
Max1104eua+t is a highly integrated dual channel A/D and D/A converter, designed for industrial process control applications. It is a single chip solution, providing analog-to-digital conversion and digital-to-analog conversion. It is ideal for use in multiplexed and time-triggered systems, providing the high performance, low power and small form factor required in many industrial process control applications.Max1104eua+t utilizes a unique three-stage pipeline architecture to provide low power operation. The input signal is converted from analog to digital format in the first stage, after which the resulting digital data is processed in the second stage. The data is then converted back to an analog output in the third stage. This unique design allows the converter to operate at minimum current and provides excellent performance with low latency. Max1104eua+t is available in three package styles; a 28-pin DIP, a 28-pin SOIC and a 22-pin SSOP. All packages offer the same features and performance. The I/O connections of the converter can be customized to meet customer requirements, with additional I/O pins available to provide additional functionality such as digital gain and offset adjustment or control inputs.The device is designed to handle a wide range of input and output signals, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications. The converter can handle input signals up to ±10V or ±2V and output signals up to ±10V or ±2V. The converter supports a maximum conversion rate of 160ksps, allowing it to be used in multiplexed and time-triggered systems using a variety of communication protocols, such as CAN, RS485, EtherCAT and Profibus.Max1104eua+t is also designed for ease of implementation, with on-chip configuration options, such as gain and offset adjustments, settling time and sample rate, that can be programmed via onboard registers. The I/O connections of the converter can also be customized, with additional pins available to provide enhanced functionality or inputs.The converter is compatible with the majority of power supply range; +12V, ±5V and ±2.5V.
