The MAX13050ASA-T is an interface driver, receiver and transceiver for motor control systems. It is a highly integrated, single chip solution that combines the flexibility of an FPGA-enabled embedded/programmable EMC with an advanced processor core and advanced analog, power, and mixed signal features, into a single integrated solution. The MAX13050ASA-T is a highly flexible and programmable solution with support for the most demanding motor control applications.

The MAX13050ASA-T has a wide range of features, including a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M1 processor core and integrated analog and power. It is optimized for digital applications such as control and communications, but also includes features such as voltage measurement, reverse current compensation, temperature/current monitoring, system diagnostics, digital signal processing, and more. It also offers support for both non-volatile memory and flash memory.

The MAX13050ASA-T supports eight-channel motor control, six-channel motor control plus four-channel synchronized multi-axis motor control flow control, four-channel motor control plus two additional single-axis motor control flow control, and two-channel independently timed motor control flow control. It also offers programmable gain, peak current, reverse current-compensation, over temperature protection, current/voltage monitoring and diagnostics, as well as system configuration. The device also provides a wide range of control functions such as electronic motor position control, high-speed digital signal processing (DSP), pulse width modulation, sine wave modulation, torque-slip, and automatic gain control.

The MAX13050ASA-T features an advanced processor core with an FPU to ensure high performance. The processor core can operate at up to 100MHz, while the integrated analog features can operate up to 10MHz. The device also features Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Automatic Gain Scaling (AGS) for precise motor control and noise immunity. The MAX13050ASA-T has an integrated high current DC-DC converter to provide power for the motor control system, as well as a multi-voltage flash memory for storage of the motor control configuration.

The MAX13050ASA-T provides various configurable functions such as motor direction and speed control, automatic over-current protection, over temperature protection, and pulse width modulation for controlling motor speed. It also provides support for various bus configurations such as CANBus, SPI, I2C and others. The device is highly programmable, allowing user-defined functions to be added or modified.
