The MAX13050ASA+ IC is a versatile transceiver designed for high speed differential signaling applications. It is packed with an abundance of features that make it a great solution for most data and control applications. It features two modes, power-saving and lower-power ESD protection as well as a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. The MAX13050ASA+ is a dual-channel transceiver with high-speed AC-coupled signal and ESD protection up to ±6kV. It is fully compliant with I2C, SPI, and RS-422/RS-485 serial interfaces.The MAX13050ASA+ is designed to drive differential signal swing between -3V to +3V with low power consumption. The receiver accepts input signal swing from -400mV to +800mV. The MAX13050ASA+ is designed to drive signals in I2C, SPI, and RS-422/RS-485 protocol. It supports auto-direction sensing and data rate up to 300kbps with low power consumption.The MAX13050ASA+ provides a wide selection of protection features, including over-voltage protection, reverse polarity protection, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection up to ± 6kV. The ESD protection is provided by an active clamping circuit which is triggered by an internal over-voltage comparator that is monitored by an internal reference voltage. The MAX13050ASA+ also provides integrated surge protection for the I2C, SPI, and RS-422/RS-485 signals.The integrated surge protection provides a dual-input protection from over-voltage and under-voltage surges present in the system, eliminating the need for external components used for surge protection. In addition, the MAX13050ASA+ has an integrated power-save mode which discontinues the power to the transceiver when the data stream is idle, drastically reducing the power consumption of the system. The MAX13050ASA+ is a great choice for applications requiring high-speed differential signal transmission. It provides low power consumption, high ESD protection up to ±6kV, and integrated surge protection for the I2C, SPI, and RS-422/RS-485 signals. It is an excellent transceiver solution for most data and control applications.
