MAX13082EESA+ is a low-power 3-channel ESD-protected RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for linear and balanced data transmission. The device is an ideal solution for industrial automation applications, local area network (LAN) systems, and half-duplex point-to-point and multidrop buses. The device integrates both transmit and receive protection (RXLP, TXLP) over the full Common Mode Voltage (VCM) range and features a fault output signal (FLT) that indicates an ESD event. The MAX13082EESA+ operates from a single 3.0 V to 5.5 V power supply, and features a low-power shutdown mode.

The MAX13082EESA+ simplifies the design of data communication protocol by combining a low-current loopback driver, 3-channel receivers, and a bus transceiver in a single 16-pin TSSOP package. The device employs a proprietary Equalizer technology, which transfers data up to 200pF in total cable capacitance at full transmission speed, ensuring reliable and robust data transmission. The device comes with a separate enable input for each driver, allowing for split-transmission applications.
