The MAX13433EESD+T is an ultra-low power system-side RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed to operate up to 100Mbaud with low power consumption. It supports data rates up to 100Mbaud from a 3.0V to 3.6V supply voltage, using just 56 mW of power. Working Principle

The MAX13433EESD+T transceiver includes two independent full-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceivers, with total driver output-enable control. Each transceiver consists of two drivers and two receivers. Each driver is used to transmit data onto the bus and each receiver is used to receive data from the bus. The outputs are designed to minimize system noise by permitting fast edge rates with steep slope while driving full or low VCC or short-circuit loads.

The transceivers feature a single transmitter-enable pin that can be used to shut down both drivers simultaneously to minimize power consumption during idle periods. The receiver outputs feature Schmitt trigger input buffers and are designed to detect bus-idle conditions where the bus voltage may remain between VCC and GND. When the differential input voltage exceeds the common mode voltage range of the receiver section, the remote transmitter drivers are inhibited.
