Working Principle

The MAX14582EWC+T contains both a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) transceiver and an RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with an integrated driver, which can be operated with a single twisted pair. The LVDS transceiver converts single-ended inputs to differential outputs and vice versa, while the RS-485/RS-422 transceiver provides the necessary data format conversion between RS-485 and RS-422.The LVDS transceiver has a very low power consumption and is ideal for industrial and automotive applications. It is able to transfer data at rates up to 100 Mbps and is compliant with standard RS-485/RS-422 protocols.
