The MAX14775EASA+ is an integrated multiprotocol transceiver for automotive applications with 3.0 differential line capacity employing maximum signaling rates of 5.0 Mbps. The integrated design combines insulation tolerant CAN FD, CAN, LIN and SENT, allowing for improved flexibility, reduced development time and easier implementation. The on-chip transient protection and power limiting also guarantee reliable performance in automotive vibration and electrical surge conditions.

The device features an on-chip voltage regulator, noise suppression circuitry, and a wide pad capacitance tolerance that enables the transceiver to survive difficult electrical signals in automotive applications. The embedded algorithms ensure optimal bit and packet error rates (BER/PER), even in noisy environments and variable voltage conditions. Furthermore, the integrated clock recovery, in conjunction with the low-jitter design and variable slew rate, provide superior noise immunity.

The MAX14775EASA+ provides two or four independent, fully isolated CAN interfaces and can also be used as a dual LIN system capable of transmitting and receiving data. The protocol support and integration of discrete components make it ideal for connecting electronic control units and sensors together in a CAN/LIN system.
