MAX14890EATJ+ Working Principle
The transceiver comprises two amplifiers, two differential voltage digital-to-analog high-speed ports, and two high-speed digital-to-analog output ports. Each amplifier is designed to deliver +3.3V single-ended or CMOS output digital signal levels.The differential voltage digital-to-analog ports include both digital signal and voltage signal level. The digital output level is measured in Volts while the signal level is measured in DSPS (Digital-to-Analog Signal). The signal level is used to control the output voltage drive of the amplifier.The digital signal and voltage signals are combined before entering the amplifier. The amplifier selects the signal level based on the input threshold. The maximum input threshold is 5V.The voltage signal is the main signal level; the digital signal is used to help determine the timing and control of the output voltage drive.The high-speed digital-to-analog ports are meant for single-ended or CMOS output voltages. The output voltage ranges from 0V to 3.3V, and can be adjusted to a higher voltage according to user requirement. The output voltage can be modified through the control port by a maximum of five bits. The adjustable output voltage and control port are used to control the MAX14890EATJ+ transceiver.
The transceiver’s integrated drivers, receivers and transceivers help to reduce system complexity.
