In each operating cycle, when the switch is on, energy stored in the input power supply is transferred to an output inductor, which provides current to the output and boosts it to the desired level. When the switch turns off, the energy stored in the inductor is transferred to the output via the output compensation network and the output capacitor.
In addition, the MAX15166EWE+T also features a patented Adaptive Voltage Scaling (AVS) control loop that adjusts the switching frequency to minimize input energy consumption while providing maximum dynamic load current and 60-dB ripple rejection. In this mode, the switch automatically adjusts its duty cycle to achieve the desired output voltage, while maintaining the current consumption at an optimal level.
The MAX15166EWE+T is available in a 3mm x 3mm, 16-pin QFN package with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. It\'s also suitable for applications such as industrial automation equipment, IoT/IIoT sensors, medical monitoring systems, battery powered systems, LEDs, and automotive control systems.
