The MAX16814AGP/VY+ is a highly efficient, boost-mode controller for driving multiple LEDs in series from a single-cell Li+ battery. The device integrates many features to simplify design and provides open loop operation for driving LEDs from 0.5% to 100% of the linear PTAT (proportional to absolute temperature) current. It provides accurate current sensing and true open loop mode of operation to prevent overvoltage and thermal runaway.
