The MAX16824AUE+ is an advanced two-level switching regulator ideal for LED drivers used in a wide range of applications. It operates with a single supply voltage, allowing the device to run on two-level dimming or two separate control signals for gradual, high-quality brightness or color control. It incorporates several features designed to prolong the lifetime of LEDs, including thermal derating, over-current protection, adjustable soft start, proprietary Multi-Level™ dimming feature, and integrated high-voltage MOSFETs.

The MAX16824AUE+ integrates a Multi-Level™ dimming feature which provides a higher resolution of dimming than the traditional pulse-width modulation (PWM) methods. The Multi-Level™ dimming feature can be used to set up any number of dimming levels from 1 to 8, and also supports both linear and quadratic dimming curves. This combination of features leads to higher brightness accuracy as well as consistent color, achieving optimized illumination performance for a wide range of applications.

In addition, the MAX16824AUE+ helps reduce power consumption and heat dissipation by utilizing the proprietary PowerWise® 5.0 architecture.
