The MAX16833BAUE/V+ LED driver IC is a high efficiency, programmable LED driver optimized for LED lighting applications. It features onboard LED current regulation, dimming control with user programmable dimming curves, and can drive LEDs with up to 130 mA current with up to 95% efficiency. It also provides spread spectrum modulation to reduce EMI emissions. What is more, the MAX16833BAUE/V+ supports analog voltage and current dimming, pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming, and direct analog PWM dimming, as well as digital I2C dimming.

The MAX16833BAUE/V+ is a 1A LED driver with a wide input voltage range from 5V to 28V. It allows up to 130 mA LED current, depending on Vin and LED characteristics, and delivers 95% efficiency at 130 mA LED current. The IC implements a hysteretic constant-on-time (COT) control scheme with 500 mA peak P-Channel MOSFET switch capable to efficiently deliver power to a single LED or to a series of up to six LEDs.

The MAX16833BAUE/V+ also includes Boost Mode Control, a powerful feature that eliminates most of the external components
