The MAX16939ATESB/V+ is a DC DC switching regulator that offers a flexible power solution with its wide input and output voltage ratings, low dropout voltage, and high-efficiency performance. This device is designed to operate over an input voltage range of 2.9 V to 5.5 V, and features an adjustable output voltage range of 0.8 V to 5 V. The MAX16939ATESB/V+ has an integrated high-efficiency, step-down DC-DC converter based on buck switching, as well as a low dropout linear regulator. This device includes an internal high-speed MOSFET, enabling it to offer a low external component count, high efficiency, and small package size for space-constrained applications. The step-down DC-DC converter operates with a switching frequency of 500 kHz, and provides a high power-conversion efficiency of up to 96%. The device also includes four additional low-dropout linear regulators offering an adjustable output voltage range of 0.8 V to 5 V with a current capability of 0.2 A.

The MAX16939ATESB/V+ also features a Power Good (PG) signal which indicates whether the output voltage is above or below 17.5% of the nominal output voltage. The device also has adjustable soft-start which allows users to ramp up the output voltage over a time period, reducing inrush current and preventing overshoot. The device also has short circuit protection and a thermal disable function which allows the system to shut down the device in order to prevent thermal damage.

The MAX16939ATESB/V+ is ideal for a wide range of applications including automotive systems, consumer devices, industrial equipment and medical instrumentation.
