The MAX16956AUBC/V+T is a high efficiency, two-channel, buck-boost DC-DC synchronous converter. APPLICATION FIELD

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The MAX16956AUBC/V+T uses an advanced synchronous buck-boost configuration to provide high efficiencyacross a wide range of input and output voltage levels. The VOUT1 and VOUT2 output voltages are adjustablefrom 0.6V to 5.5V and can track each other using the internal voltage tracking capability. The power deviceconfiguration of the MAX16956AUBC/V+T can be changed from standalone mode, where only one output channelis active, to dual channel mode, where both channels are active.
The MAX16956AUBC/V+T is equipped with an integrated over-voltage protection (OVP) and over-currentprotection (OCP) circuit as well as a charge pump to ensure safe operation. There is also a soft start functionthat helps prevent any inrush currents or input voltage drops when the device is turned on.
The MAX16956AUBC/V+T also offers an integrated any-rail voltage detector (ARVD) that can be used todetect the input voltage range and switch between high-side and low-side PMOS devices accordingly.The MAX16956AUBC/V+T also has a feed-forward architecture and adaptive load line regulator for improvedtransient response. This ensures that the device delivers a stable output even when the load varies abruptly.
The MAX16956AUBC/V+T is integrated with an I2C interface which allows the user to configure varioussettings such as the output voltage, operating mode, sequencing and tracking, etc. The device can be operatedin automatic, adaptive/track, bypass and forced PWM modes, allowing for flexibility and maximum efficiency.
