MAX17225ENT+ is a voltage regulator and a DC DC switching regulator integrated circuit that is utilized for controlling and regulating power supply in small electronic systems. This application note will discuss and explain the application field and working principle of MAX17225ENT+ with regards to power management integrated circuits.The MAX17225ENT+ is specifically designed for application in small, cost-sensitive, power supply systems such as those found in a notebook computer or servers. The integrated circuit is capable of providing up to a maximum output current of 5A and is highly suitable for high side and low side N-channel MOSFETs and can deliver a maximum power of 0.95W. The integrated circuit has a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V and can be used in many varied applications such as notebook computer, servers, telecom systems, automotive systems and motor control electronics. The integrated circuit has a very low quiescent current that enables it to operate in a very low power mode and also enables it to have high efficiency.
