The MAX1729EUB is a multi-purpose DC/DC Step-Down Converter which provides always-on output over a wide range of input and output voltages. Designed with an adjustable voltage range of up to 45V and a powerful switching regulator, the MAX1729EUB provides accurate, reliable power with excellent thermal performance. This DC/DC converter is suitable for providing low-noise, clean power for both general purpose and mission-critical applications.The MAX1729EUB is a PMIC - Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators device designed for enterprise network and high-end storage, communication and communication carrier system applications. It features an adjustable switched capacitor voltage regulator which allows for any output voltage between 2.45V and 45V, offering a wide range of design flexibility. The converter also provides advanced protection features, such as a built-in OVP, UVP and OCP function that protect the device from over-voltage and over-current faults.The MAX1729EUB uses an advanced switching regulator to achieve high efficiency and fast transient response. The converter operates at a constant voltage mode that reduces power dissipation, and also features an adjustable soft-start circuit that reduces inrush current and start-up time. Additionally, the IC features integrated over-temperature protection with an adjustable threshold to ensure reliable operation.In terms of its output performance, the MAX1729EUB provides an output current capability of up to 5A, with a maximum output ripple of 1.2%. The output voltage accuracy is ±3%, while load regulation is ±0.5%.
