The MAX17551AUB+ is a high-performance, synchronous step-down DC-DC switching regulator that can reach up to 3.2A output current. This device belongs to the family of PMIC (Power Management IC) voltage regulators and more specifically DC DC switching regulators. The MAX17551AUB+ is suitable for applications such as wearable devices, portable consumer electronic devices and automotive power systems. Furthermore, the MAX17551AUB+ includes integrated features for several protection mechanisms, such as input undervoltage protection, output overvoltage protection, output current limit and overtemperature protection.As for its electrical characteristics, the MAX17551AUB+ has a wide range of voltage regulation accuracy, from ±2.5mV to ±20mV, depending on the output current. The device also offers a minimum guaranteed load regulation of ±5mV and a line regulation of up to ±15mV for a 5V output. The device can effectively operate at ambient temperatures up to 150°C.
