It features several features including smart voltage regulation, thermal protection, and adaptive current and power limiting. The MAX17595ATE+T is also designed for reliable system-level performance and is protected from overload, over temperature, over voltage, under voltage, input under voltage lockout (UVLO), output over-current protection (OCP), and output over-voltage shutdown (OVS).
The MAX17595ATE+T features an onboard microcontroller that provides a high level of integration. The microcontroller includes a host of system control features including adjustable output voltage, hysteresis for voltage set points, soft start and shutdown, pre-charge and post-charge, slew rate limitation, current limiting and thermal protection. The microcontroller provides a low jitter clock input and can be used with a wider range of microprocessors and operating systems. The device also offers a serial peripheral interface (SPI) to communicate with the microcontroller.
