The MAX17595ATE+T application field consists of PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) – AC/DC Converters and Offline Switchers. This device is a highly integrated, low-voltage, low-power PMIC that provides complete AC/DC and offline switcher conversion solutions. The MAX17595ATE+T has extremely low power consumption and is designed to operate over a wide input voltage range. It is ideal for applications such as portable electronics, PDAs, laptops, TVs and general-purpose AC/DC and offline switcher conversions.

The MAX17595ATE+T is a robust, high-efficiency, and low-noise PMIC design. It is specifically designed for applications where low power consumption is critical. It is designed to maintain a clean output signal, while providing an extremely low drift current, and a wide input voltage range. It features several features including smart voltage regulation, thermal protection, and adaptive current and power limiting. The MAX17595ATE+T is also designed for reliable system-level performance and is protected from overload, over temperature, over voltage, under voltage, input under voltage lockout (UVLO), output over-current protection (OCP), and output over-voltage shutdown (OVS).

The MAX17595ATE+T features an onboard microcontroller that provides a high level of integration. The microcontroller includes a host of system control features including adjustable output voltage, hysteresis for voltage set points, soft start and shutdown, pre-charge and post-charge, slew rate limitation, current limiting and thermal protection. The microcontroller provides a low jitter clock input and can be used with a wider range of microprocessors and operating systems. The device also offers a serial peripheral interface (SPI) to communicate with the microcontroller.

The MAX17595ATE+T working principle is based on a high speed, low noise, synchronous rectified AC/DC converter.
