Maxim Integrated’s MAX1760EUB is a DC-DC switching regulator designed for notebook computer and other mobile applications. It integrates all the necessary features to provide a complete power solution, enabling board space savings and cost reduction. The regulator offers an adjustable output voltage between +1.4V to +4.4V.

The MAX1760EUB integrates a power MOSFET, gate driver and current sense amplifier, along with the built-in control loop. It operates from a input voltage of +3.3V to +20V and can deliver up to 6A of output current. It features a programmable current limit, open loop voltage feed-forward, overvoltage protection (OVP), soft start and thermal shutdown.

Working Principle
