The MAX1917EEE+T is a special purpose voltage regulator component from power management integrated circuit (PMIC) family that enables a robust and stable power supply for many applications. It is made of an efficient switch-mode step-down regulator for fixed voltage output applications. It also features low quiescent current, wide input and output voltage range, adjustable output current, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutoff. The component works by operating in two stages: a switch-mode power stage and a linear regulator stage. The component also offers a power good signal which can be used to signal system health and an optional disable pin, allowing for remote control of the component.
