The MAX40010ANT12+ is a high-speed, rail-to-rail, low-power comparator with an adjustable hysteresis window. It has two very low-power operational modes, one optimized for high-speed transitions and another for very low-power operation. This makes it ideal for critical low-power/high-speed applications such as full-duplex communications, touch and hand-gesture sensing, medical electronics, industrial process control, and automotive safety systems.

The MAX40010ANT12+ is classified as a linear-comparator because it has a single input and one output. Its input is compared to a reference signal and the output goes hi or low depending on the signal. It can be set up to respond to a voltage differential, or if not set, will simply respond to a single input voltage. There are also two adjustable internal parameters which can be used to set up the desired response, depending on the application.
