MAX4271ESA+T is a high-side Hot Swap controller developed by Maxim Integrated. It offers an rich feature-set to enable safe power management in various PMIC applications. The device minimizes system risk by providing overcurrent protection and a variety of fault handling options. It can be used to support a wide range of applications from low-power to high-power systems including automotive, telecommunications, networking and storage applications.

Application

MAX4271ESA+T provides an ideal solution for power management of safe power cycles in industrial and medical applications. On-board logic offers overcurrent protection and fault handling for up to four hot-swap power rails with up to 24V input voltage range. It can also be used to control and monitor power supplies used in data centers and other high-power applications with improved efficiency.

The device features a three-phase bridge (TPL5101) that can support multiple high power rails and can be used to reduce power loss and increase efficiency. It can also be used in distributed systems such as high-voltage data centers. In addition, the device can be used to provide overcurrent protection and fault isolation capability in low-voltage and high-voltage applications.

Working Principle
