Before the signal continues its journey through the circuit, the output signal is re-routed and analyzed by an additional buffer stage to reduce the power dissipation. The amplified signal is then routed to an output stage, to create the desired output voltage or current.The MAX437ESA utilizes a Class-AB three-stage topology, known as a cascaded amplifier topology. The three stage topology consists of a differential input amplifier, a gain stage, and the output buffer amplifier stage. The pre-amplification stage provides the foundation for an wide open-loop gain, whereas the primary gain stage focuses on reducing overall power dissipation. The output stage acts as an intermediate buffer between the two stages, providing the necessary isolation and converting it from a single-ended to a dynamic current-source. The MAX437ESA is capable of low-noise operation, thanks to an overall thermal noise voltage density of just 10nV/√Hz at the input stage.
