The MAX4527CPA+ is an analog dual/quad multiplexer, demultiplexer, and switch for applications requiring precision signaling. It is distinguished by its excellent on-resistance matching, low channel-to-channel leakage, and low leakage current. The MAX4527CPA+ is available in four multiplexer/demultiplexer configurations, two select-signal polarities, and with either enhanced ESD protection or a shutdown pin.
The MAX4527CPA+ offers excellent on-resistance matching between channels, which remains constant over the full analog voltage range (250Ω max at 6V). Low on-resistance and low channel-to-channel switching leakage result in low power dissipation. A single device is able to switch several channels at once (8 channels for quad parts and 4 channels for dual parts).The MAX4527CPA+ has built-in logic which prevents the NOISE PUNCTURE™ effect, enabling uninterrupted digital signals to be switched without the possibility of false clues. Logic-controlled leveling works in concert with the NOISE PUNCTURE™, eliminating false steering phenomena.
The MAX4527CPA+ provides a high level of protection against ESD damage to its inputs through a combination of active clamping and high-value, low on-resistance pathways to ground. Optional shutdown logic is available, giving the user the ability to deactivate all switches and/or reset the device to power-on mode.
The MAX4527CPA+ has various application fields, including audio and video switching, video-game controllers, medical systems, loudspeaker switch boxes, and industrial test and measurement systems. It is ideal for switching signals in applications where the highest possible performance and fast switching times are required. The device is housed in a 16-pin TSSOP package.
