The MAX4612EUD+ is a precision, double-pole single-throw, analog switch suitable for use as a low ON resistance SPST multiplexer (MUX) in a variety of end applications. It is also referred to as a general-purpose analog switch, multiplexer, demultiplexer, or buffer, depending on its configuration and usage. This device is designed using a low ON resistance CMOS process with ESD protection on all pins to increase reliability and usability in the field. Its wide operating range (from 0V to 15V) makes it applicable in a diverse array of applications.
The multiplexer is ideal for troubleshooting and measuring analog signals in a variety of automotive, medical, industrial, and telecom applications. It can be used as a simple switching device to provide continuity between two points. It can also be used for signal conditioning and voltage level shifting, for instance to shift a 4.5 to 6V signal to a 5V level. The MAX4612EUD+ is able to switch from the positive to the negative side of the input signal and vice versa, providing flexibility for a range of applications.
The MAX4612EUD+ offers an extremely high off-isolation rating of –80dB up to 10MHz and low power consumption at 2.5mA. It is based on ESD protection circuits and grounded shield protection to ensure signal quality and integrity in high-speed multiplexing applications.
