The MAX4613CSE is a CMOS quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch and multiplexer/demultiplexer. It is characterized by low on-resistance and on-leakage current, broad digital logic compatibility, and an operating supply voltage ranging from +2V to +18V. It is designed and optimized to work in low voltage, low power applications.
This device is ideal for analog/digital conversion, video switching and high-speed multiplexing and demultiplexing applications in consumer, computer, and communication systems. The MAX4613CSE can be operated in either the analog or digital mode, allowing it to be used in either media. It can also be use as SPDT multiplexers/demultiplexers, OR and AND gates, as well as in digital applications, such as encoding and decoding.
In the analog mode, the MAX4613CSE provides a low-power analog switch that operates over a wide voltage range (2V to 18V). Its low on-resistance (1Ω max) maintains signal integrity while its low on-leakage current (100pA max) minimizes disruption of the analog signal. Moreover, its fast turn-on and turn-off times (1µs max) provides flexible switching-speed control.
In the digital mode, the MAX4613CSE provides two independent two-channel multiplexers/demultiplexers. These multiplexers/demultiplexers accept two single-ended differential pairs of logic signals as inputs and output an analog signal that is conditioned by these logic signals. Each pair of logic inputs is decoded and drives a corresponding analog switch. This allows very flexible multiplexing and demultiplexing with low power consumption.
The MAX4613CSE also features a low-noise, low-power shutdown mode. When the supply voltage drops below the threshold voltage, the device automatically enters the shutdown state and consumes virtually no power. This makes it ideal for portable applications where long battery life is critical.
The MAX4613CSE offers a high level of flexibility and performance in multiplexer and analog switch applications. It has low power consumption, fast switching time, and an operating supply range from +2V to +18V.
