Analog switches, multiplexers, and demultiplexers are all components of an interface. The MAX4633ESE+T is a single channel, standalone analog COS/MOS switch or analog multiplexer. The ‘ESE+’ and ‘T’ suffixes in the MAX4633ESE+T represent the device type and package type respectively. The MAX4633ESE+T can be used in various applications, such as audio and video switching, audio and video routing, data and signal switching, multiplexing, and even for delay/de-emphasis monolithic IC.

The MAX4633ESE+T offers a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch or four-to-one (4: 1) analog multiplexer. It provides low-distortion switching with very low 1/f noise and a wide control voltage range. The control voltage is applied to the X pin, which controls the switches of the device. The power supply can be a single dual supply voltage or a split supply voltage of ±1.6 V to ±6.5 V. To reduce the effect of latch-up, it provides supply current and ground shared power.

The MAX4633ESE+T features low on-resistance of 0.7Ω and flatness of less than 0.15Ω. Its low control voltage and low off-leakage current help it to provide better performance. The off-leakage current is less than 5 nA at 3V. Also, it provides high switching speed, with a rise/fall time of 2.5/4.5 ns and switching time of 8 ns.
