The MAX4685EUB is an efficient and reliable device that is used in the interface field. It is an analog switch, multiplexer, and demultiplexer that consists of fifteen independently adjustable switches designed to route analog and digital signals accurately. Its applications range from audio/video switching to audio/data routing, and from analog signal buffering to nine-quadrant multiplication. It is capable of accepting input in the range of 0V to 13.2V, and can sink up to 30mA per output.

In terms of its switching characteristics, the MAX4685EUB can operate up to 10MHz, meaning it is suitable for wideband signals. It has very low on-state resistance—as low as 2Ω—which ensures high signal integrity. The on/off mismatch between two channels is a mere 0.3Ω, and the temperature stability coefficient of the device is a low 0.01ppm/°C.
