The MAX4736EGC+ is a dual-channel, ultra-low-voltage, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) analog switch that operates from both 1.8V and 3.3V supplies. It targets analog signal-switching applications with its low-voltage operation and ultra-low power consumption of only 3.5nA. This makes it suitable for battery-powered applications, including handheld and mobile end-applications.

The device features two independent SPDT switches with logic-level control and zero-volt detection for 25kΩ signal-bloc contacts over the full -0.3 to 5V signal range. The switches also feature a 500V ESD rating on signal pins and a 1A continuous current-carrying capability, which makes it suitable for a variety of applications.

The MAX4736EGC+ is ideal for analog signal-routing, multiplexing, and signal-blocking applications, such as those found in LED or LCD displays, or audio signal-routing. Working Principle

The MAX4736EGC+ features dual-channel SPDT switches with logic-level control. The switches are controlled by two logic inputs (S0 and S1) and can be connected in a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) configuration. When the select input (S0) is low, the switch connects the “A” side of the switch to the “B” side. When the select input (S1) is high, the switch connects the “A” side to the “C” side. If both inputs are high or low, the switch is off.
