The MAX5900LBETT+T provides Hot Swap Control and protection with enhanced power integrity and efficient loop control, enabling system engineers to create a reliable Hot Swap solution in an application with up to 24V power input. The device simplifies the design process for Hot Swap applications with features for fast turn-off, intelligent soft-start, adjustable current limiting, fault reporting, and a variety of protection functions. This hot-swap controller provides for efficient and reliable hot-swap control and power integrity in a range of applications, from industrial equipment and data centers to communications and networking equipment.

The MAX5900LBETT+T is based on an optimized Thermal-limiting and Loop Control Architecture. It integrates both a hot-swap controller and a voltage regulator, and provides additional integrated protection functions such as over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, and over-temperature protection. The MAX5900LBETT+T is designed to provide a fast, accurate, and reliable power delivery and control system with higher efficiency and less power dissipation than traditional hot-swap controllers. This is accomplished with enhanced loop control functionality and integrated high- and low-side current sensing.
