The MAX5920BESA + is a precision hot swap controller designed to provide precisely controlled inrush, power sequences and control over output powered devices based on high and low-side overcurrent detection, preventing typically high inrush current peaks and unwanted high power levels. With a logic voltage range of 3V to 5.5V, the MAX5920BESA + is suitable for a variety of applications, ranging from industrial and office equipment to notebook PCs and high-end servers.

The MAX5920BESA + features absolute maximum ratings of 16A for the positive, negative and enable pins, and maximum power ratings of 13A and 10A respectively. In addition, the device is capable of detecting and responding to both pre- and post-fault conditions nearly instantaneously.
