The MAX5931LEEP+T working principle begins with a supply voltage of 22V and an enable/disable time-out of maximum 4sec. The slew-rate-limited output voltage then increases linearly up to a predefined voltage level (Vsd). When the voltage reaches Vsd, the output voltage can no longer exceed Vsd. This is the maximum voltage that can be supplied by the MAX5931LEEP+T and, if exceeded, will activate a shutdown.The MAX5931LEEP+T then regulates the output current using both the current limit and temperature threshold settings. The temperature thresholds can be adjusted between 95C to 175C. If the temperature threshold is exceeded, the output voltage is turned off and the device goes into shutdown mode. The current limit setting is adjustable from 1A to 60A. If the current load exceeds the configured limit, the device will shut down. Lastly, the Enable/Disable Timeout feature provides protection against accidental device insertion or removal. If the Enable/Disable is not used within the configured time, the device will disable itself.
