A Supervision system in a circuit comprises of various components such as an Oscillator, voltage regulator and several other components. The Oscillator, which works as a frequency generator, is used to generate a precise frequency that is used to detect voltage and other changes in the system. This output is then further filtered and smoothed prior to comparison with reference voltages provided by the voltage regulator. The logic output generated by comparison is then employed to control the reset generation and voltage monitoring generator. This is achieved by two comparators, one for each of these signals.

The MAX6306UK30D1+T is also designed with a program modulator that allows users to customize the reset and sequencing behavior of the IC. It provides per pin delay timers to accurately sequence power supply on/off and reset timing. It also offers programmable pull-up, pull-down and pin weak drive outputs.
