Features and BenefitsThe MAX6337US23D3-T comes equipped with features that provide multiple benefits to its users. Its features include an accurate active-high reset output, 60mV to 120mV reset threshold window for resetting reliably, a low reset output active-high active-low reset and also inverse polarity protection. The MAX6337US23D3-T device also has an integrated timeout feature that provides a trusted reset event. Other beneficial features include low quiescent current (1µA max), low reset output voltage (Vreset = 0.7V max), reset active-high active-low pin with both level and pulse reset, reverse battery protection and an active-low Power-Good Output with an unfolded current range up to 60mA. The device also has an excellent voltage range (1.8V to 5.5V).Working PrincipleThe working principle of MAX6337US23D3-T lies in the power detection and processing circuit which comprises of Voltage Detectors, Comparators and a Delay circuit. The device monitors the input voltage for errors and/or faults such as power supply overvoltage, undervoltage, lost supply, and unexpected reset signals. In case of any error or fault, the device immediately sends out a reset pulse of about 135ms duration which ensures the reliable resetting of the system. The device typically comes in an 8-pin SOIC package. It has five voltage detector circuits, an adjustable RST input, an integrated timeout delay and two active-low outputs (RST and PWRGD). The PWRGD output is an active-low open-drain output with an unfolded current capacity of up to 60mA. The device also has an adjustable power-on reset feature with a reset-active threshold window between 60mV and 120mV and a reset output voltage between 0.7V and 0.8V across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The MAX6337US23D3-T is also built with ESD protection fromhuman body model up to 4kV.
