PMIC – Supervisors are microprocessor based devices, typically working in conjunction with logic devices, to monitor the power supply and system system\'s condition. This includes monitoring power supply levels, voltage fluctuations, over-current protection and interrupt status. The motor industry has probably been the single largest user of PMIC – Supervisors. Supervisors provide accurate and reliable protection for a system and improve the life time of the system.The MAX6365PKA31-T is one of the PMIC – Supervisors available in the market, designed by Maxim Integrated and manufactured by Texas Instruments. This device provides an efficient and effective means of protecting the system and its components from voltage and current fluctuations, as well as ensuring that the system is operating within its optimum parameters. This supervisor has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is encapsulated in a 28-pin TSSOP, Plastic Package.

Over-Current Protection - The MAX6365PKA31-T can detect and prevent over-current in a component by monitoring the current (I L ) blocking rise time. If the rise time is above the specified threshold level, the supervisor will detect the over-current and shut down the component to protect it from damage.3. Under-Voltage Detection - This is the opposite of over-voltage and involves detecting when the input or output voltage of a component falls below the specified threshold level. If this condition is detected, the supervisor will shut down and prevent damage to the component.4.
